Flame retardant synergistic agent
Flame retardant synergistic agents include phosphorus compounds, nitrogen compounds, and metal hydroxides. Flame retardant synergistic agents also include the graphite expansion system and expansion system of nitrogen and phosphorus compounds, this kind of system is not volatile, no corrosive gas, known as pollution-free flame retardant agent which is the trend of development.
Optimization of the physical properties of flame retardant synergistic agent can improve the flame retardant effect, but the production costs is high, addition is large and affect physical performance. In order to reduce the amount of optimization, physical performance, improve the flame retardant effect, researchers using nanotechnology, new capsule coating technology, surface treatment technology and synergetic mechanism research to development new flame retardant synergistic agents, including MMT, FR-18 etc.,
If Flame retardant synergistic agents are used with halogen-free flame retardant, they can improve the physical performance and flame retardant effect. The amount of the general synergist is much less than the main flame retardant, and the dosage of the main flame retardant is reduced.
Flame retardant synergist refers to the flame retardant system composed of two or more components, and its flame retardant effect is better than the sum of flame retardant components. The efficiency of system is often expressed by "SE". SE is defined as the ratio of the flame retardant efficiency of the synergistic system (EFF) to the flame retardant efficiency of the single flame retardant (without synergistic agent) in the system.
Flame retardant synergist is not only improve the efficiency of flame retardant, and can reduce the dosage of some components (such as some expensive or scarce components), and still can meet some increasingly stringent requirements of flame retardant applications.
