A total ban of flame retardant in fabric furniture

The U.S. state: Maine passed a ban for flame retardants used in furniture, the ban will come into effect on January 1, 2019. It is reported that the new measures, from January 1, 2019 onwards, the fabric, other coverings or soft materials of fabric furniture with containing concentration of the flame retardants more than 0.1% shall not be sold and distributed in the state. At present, Maine was the only state passed the ban, Maine environmental protection department said that in order to effectively enforce these Provisions, the product label and manufacturer registration procedures, as well as the certification of product sampling and testing procedures will be developed.
